The Station Cafe has been a staple on the square in Bentonville since 1977. Serving burgers, sandwiches, plate lunches, and daily specials the Station has something for everyone. On this trip I opted for the cheeseburger basket which is their specialty. The 6oz angus burgers are fried on a flat top griddle which creates those great crusty edges around your burger. Served on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions you dress your own burger at the table with your favorite condiments. The basket sells for $7.59 and comes with your standard issue frozen fries or a side salad. The Station should consider offering fresh cut fries for that price which would complement their burger much better than the frozen variety.

Be ready with plenty of napkins, while the burger is quite tasty its also quite greasy. Other notable menu items include what looked to be a 1/4 pound hot dog smothered in chili and cheese. The Station offers homemade desserts and hand dipped milk shakes to finish off your meal. I recommend the Station cafe and the owner (Cecil) is almost always there at lunch to greet you at the door. Your ticket adds up pretty quick at the Station so don't expect a budget friendly meal here.
